Blackberries, broadband and boxes

The weather outside is thoroughly miserable, so all there is for me to do is make some headway with my packing - but it is so much easier to procrastinate and make an entry which is totally uneccessary in order to scive off the inevitable.
Sitting at my computer I can see loads of ripe blackberries (tad early you may say - but global warming and all that) and am tempted to brave the weather and go and frolic in the garden with my basket and collect apples (from my orchard!) and blackberries to make a delicious blackberry and apple pie - but the boxes and all my books call me to do what I should do.
I have even refused going for another sail tomorrow. What ! some of you may say - sail again after your last session with half blind captain calamity and the force five wind. My bruises and ego are now healed and I am ready to brave the seas yet again, but this time with a calmer, gentler and more tolerant captain at the helm.
Having tried to send out some scanned newspaper cuttings on this dial up - have decided it would be cheaper (after about three days of attempts) to have broadband re-instated.
