Random thoughts from an Island in the middle of the Irish Sea

I enjoy life, and find that the older I get the more adventurous I become - just sometimes there are limitations as to what I should attempt. The brittle bone syndrome could start settling in soon.

Overactive and Underactive Thyroids

Some days I wish that I could nick a little bit of old smudgies thyroid activity and replace it with mine. She turns 18 on 9th October, and never sleeps - or sleeps when I am awake and waits until I am in a deep sleep and then pokes me !! What joys
It has been a week since Kat went on her journey and took her place in the halls of learning at Edinburgh. In some ways I am glad that she moved to Ramsey last year, because it has made the break a lot easier than I thought.
I am busy now packing boxes, washing curtains, ornaments and anything that looks dusty and grubby before I pack it (how sad am I) save me doing it the other end.
I have decided the social life needs to go on hold now until I have moved, and no more mid week jaunts either :0) Had a great night out last week at a fund raiser for Amanda, and the cause was one dear to my heart. Genetic diseases that can either cause infertility, problems in pregnancy or effect the quality of life. My mission for the next few weeks is to try and get some funds raised, but that seems to be falling on stony ground at work. I will keep on plodding away at it.
Had some great marketing ideas between Sharron and myself and they have had the go ahead by management, all we need now is to ensure all is in order. I cannot wait to get my teeth into that side of the job - it should be quite a challenge.
Hei ho - off to sleep, as I have burned to many candles lately.
